
Nina Zakhozhenko
Nina Zakhozhenko is a playwright, translator, and theater maker from Kyiv, currently residing in Lviv. She studied literature theory and drama at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Nina has collaborated with various state and independent theaters as a digital artist, cultural manager, translator, and playwright. Her play "Alina's First Seven Works" won the Grand Prix at the "July's Honey" competition, and together with "Cops vs. Snails," it was shortlisted for the "Week of Contemporary Play" and presented at the "Love and Beaver" festivals in 2020–2022. After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Nina wrote a series of dramatic short stories about the lives of Ukrainian civilians during the war, most of which were included in the play "Me, War, and Plastic Grenade." These texts have been read and performed on various stages in Ukraine and Europe, included in the "Anthology-24" collection by Parade-fest, and became finalists for the "Aurora" dramaturgy award in 2022.
