A grotesque comedy about Athenians and the Kingdom of Birds, featuring a happy ending and wings granted to a human, presented by the Lviv Lesia Ukrainka Theatre. The premiere took place on April 7, 2024. One day, the birds decided to build a new city and live in it freely and happily. However, building a new city is much easier than learning to live in it under new rules. If old habits, prejudices, and beliefs are carried into the new city, nothing will change except for an increase in carbon emissions. The same will happen with rising unemployment and inflation, while birth rates and standards of living will decline. All of this happens during a war! Yes, the birds, like us, are fighting for survival. Unfortunately, unlike the birds, we have no other home or migration route to escape to in tough times. What awaits us if world political forums continue to focus on the thickness of plastic cups instead of, for example, the looming threat of the occupation of Europe's largest nuclear power plant? Warning! The performance contains scenes of nudity and explicit language.
